It is a new year and with it comes new adventures! A lot has happened since my last post. Our family went on a month-long vacation where we had the opportunity to relax, have fun, visit churches, friends and family. We found out we are expecting our fourth child. Our family took part in the Big Feed in Mexico where (despite the cold and tons of mud) we cooked chicken, played games, handed out gifts and shared the Gospel message. We then found out that our fourth child will be a boy!!
Right now we are in Nicaragua. We had an awesome time serving the Lord during Med-Fest last week and even our girls got involved! We set the girls up in little school desks and invited people to come have their nails painted. They diligently painted the nails of many, many girls and women. Even Paige stayed focused the entire time we were painting nails. We also played water balloon games which was a huge hit with all the Nicaraguan children. Med-Fest was three long and hard days but it was so worth it to see so many people come to know the Lord and to see my whole family engaged in serving Him.

After Med-Fest we had a few days of rest and we got to enjoy some swimming and some naps. We then worked with a team from Chicago putting a roof on a church and doing a children’s discipleship program. Phillip and I have been working on putting the discipleship program together for months, but this was the first time we put it into practice in the field. It was so exciting to get to spend time with kids and teach them more about the Bible and how to draw close to the Lord.

I know there is a lot going on in this post, but there is a lot going on in our lives right now. We are so excited about what the Lord is doing. The ministry has a new base camp in Nicaragua and recently completed the church on the property. Construction will soon begin on small staff houses, a kitchen, dorms and a warehouse. We are looking forward to spending some more time in Nicaragua and at the new ministry base camp later on this year. Please keep the Zinck family in your prayers as we continue to serve Him wherever He may call us.
